The BCCS Accounts Receivable Biller is an important member of the BCCS Accounting Department with responsibilities related to New York State Educational Department related billings and posting of cash receipts from funding sources for all five sites in adherence to all Department of Health, State Education Department regulations, and BCCS policies and procedures.

Assists lifeguard in all aspects of pool safety on a daily basis in accordance with guidelines and responsibilities. Serve as a role model for the students.

Responsible for all aspects of pool management and safety on a daily basis. Supports all pool recreational activities through supervision of the pool aides. Lifeguards will ensure that all pool staff are appropriate role models and are productively involved with the students.

Conduct psychological evaluations as per triennial schedule and/or at the request of a student’s school district. Provide student psychological counseling as per IEP mandates. Assist with the day-to-day behavioral and academic support of assigned students and the oversight of the implementation of Positive Behavior Supports throughout the school program. Provide staff training in autism spectrum disorders, developmental and intellectual disabilities. Trained in state education sanctioned physical restraint procedures (HWC and SCIP-R).

Evaluate and provide appropriate special education services to assigned children. Implement curriculum based on student's individualized academic, social, and behavioral needs. Communicate appropriately with professional staff and families of assigned students. Maintain accurate documentation in compliance with the regulations established by NYSED, DOH and other oversight agencies.

Conducts and monitors implementation of transition services on a student’s IEP, such as training, education and, where appropriate, independent living skills.
Includes transporting students to employment placements or job experiences. Classroom assignments are subject to change based on program needs.

The PAES Lab Special Education Teacher is responsible for the facilitation and implementation of activities within the Practical Assessment Exploration System (PAES) Lab. This role supports students with disabilities in developing real-life vocational skills, fostering independence, transition goals through hands-on, simulated work experiences and preparing for post-secondary employment.

We currently offer two Saturday recreation programs – one with a focus on recreation and the other with a focus on social skills for children with autism. All programs include a wide range of skill enhancement through music, arts and crafts, cooking, movement dance and indoor and outdoor play. Swimming in the outdoor pool is available during the summer months.
