Assist with the day-to-day supervision of assigned students, and the overall support of classroom-wide Positive Behavior Supports. Provide staff training in the principles of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA), Autism Spectrum Disorders and related disabilities. Trained in SCIP.
Provide appropriate special education services to assigned children. Effectively manage all aspects of the classroom and student behavior, interpret lesson plans and create reports to inform the students classroom teacher as needed. Oversee activities of assigned teacher assistants and aides.
Assists Lead Counselor to ensure children have structured activities planned and that activities are age and ability appropriate. Assists in being responsible for the well being and safety of the children.
We currently offer two Saturday recreation programs – one with a focus on recreation and the other with a focus on social skills for children with autism. All programs include a wide range of skill enhancement through music, arts and crafts, cooking, movement dance and indoor and outdoor play. Swimming in the outdoor pool is available during the summer months.

Ensures the medical care of all individuals in the houses by providing direction to AMAP staff, completing all regulatory reports, and acting as a liaison between hospitals, clinics, and consultants, to ensure accurate coordination and delivery of services.

The Registered Behavior TechnicianTM (RBT®) is a nationally recognized paraprofessional certification in behavior analysis. The RBT- BCBA Support will work with the BCBA/Psychology department, under the direct supervision of a BCBA, to assist in the delivery of direct behavior-analytic services. All delivery of services must be withing the RBT’s scope of practice. The RBT may also be required to function as part of the classroom ratio as a teacher assistant. RBT must be trained in NYSED/DOH sanctioned emergency intervention strategies.
