Evaluate and provide music therapy program to assigned classrooms. Conduct music sessions which are appropriate to the developmental and social-emotional level of the assigned students. Must incorporate movement, instruments, and song.
Conduct psychological evaluations as per triennial schedule and/or at the request of a student’s school district. Provide student psychological counseling as per IEP mandates. Assist with the day-to-day behavioral and academic support of assigned students and the oversight of the implementation of Positive Behavior Supports throughout the school program. Provide staff training in autism spectrum disorders, developmental and intellectual disabilities. Trained in state education sanctioned physical restraint procedures (HWC and SCIP-R).

This role supports students with disabilities in developing real-life vocational skills, fostering independence, transition goals through hands-on, simulated work experiences and preparing for post-secondary employment.
The PAES Lab Special Education Teacher is responsible for the facilitation and implementation of activities within the Practical Assessment Exploration System (PAES) Lab. This role supports students with disabilities in developing real-life vocational skills, fostering independence, transition goals through hands-on, simulated work experiences and preparing for post-secondary employment.

We currently offer two Saturday recreation programs – one with a focus on recreation and the other with a focus on social skills for children with autism. All programs include a wide range of skill enhancement through music, arts and crafts, cooking, movement dance and indoor and outdoor play. Swimming in the outdoor pool is available during the summer months.
