Responsible for all aspects of pool management and safety on a daily basis. Supports all pool recreational activities through supervision of the pool aides. Lifeguards will ensure that all pool staff are appropriate role models and are productively involved with the students.

Perform other related duties assigned by the Assistant Director and/or Program Supervisor that are appropriate for the well-being and safety of the students.
Ensure that work-related safety procedures are in place and are being adhered to by staff. Observance of an unsafe act or a potentially hazardous work environment must be immediately reported to a supervisor.
High School Diploma or Equivalent required. Nassau County Certification for Lifeguard, American Heart Association Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation and Emergency Cardiac Care required. Prior experience working with students with disabilities preferred.
Physical Aspects may include but are not limited to lifting and transferring of an adult/student.
